Featured role

Junior Marketing & Growth Assistant

Flexible part-time work on a real SaaS product, with proper mentorship from the founder and a front-row seat to what it takes to build and launch Barkway.

The role

You'll split your time across a few areas. Most of the role is social and content work, with the rest spread across light website updates, launch prep, and general startup exposure. Not all of it every week - but that's the overall shape.

Social & content

~60-70% of the role

Drafting and scheduling posts for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Creating simple graphics in Canva, editing short videos, and writing captions that sound like us.

Website & light dev

Small updates to our Next.js / React marketing site - copy tweaks, new sections, and fixing the little things founders often leave too long. If you are more technical, there is room to go deeper.

Launch prep

Helping with waitlist emails, drafts, content planning, and the small but important jobs that support a good launch.

Business exposure

Sitting in on selected product and roadmap chats so you understand what we are building and why - not just what needs doing.

You do not need to be strong in all of this. If you are solid in two or three areas and keen to learn the rest, that is enough.

Who we're looking for

We care more about character than polish. The things that matter most to us:

You're reliable and follow through.

You write clearly and care about doing things well.

You're curious - you ask good questions, notice things, and form opinions.

You're comfortable learning in public - Googling, asking, getting things wrong, then improving.

Bonus: you've owned a dog, worked with animals, or understand why people are obsessed with their pets.

What you'll get beyond the pay

Real mentorship

A weekly 1:1 where we actually mentor you - not just hand over tasks. Bring questions, ideas, or things you are stuck on.

Portfolio-worthy work

Real work you can point to later - not made-up projects or filler.

An honest reference

From a founder who has actually seen your work up close.

A front-row seat

You'll see how a SaaS product gets built and launched across product, marketing, development, and customer research.

How to apply

Email us at hello@barkway.app with 3 things:

1

A short paragraph

Tell us about a brand, creator, or small business whose social media you think is genuinely good - and why. We care more about how you think than polished cover letters.

2

Your CV or LinkedIn

Whichever is easier.

3

Something you've made or worked on

An Instagram account, a TikTok page, a site you built, a uni project, some design work - anything that shows initiative.

We'll reply to every application. Shortlisted candidates will have a 20-minute video call with the founder. We're aiming to hire before the end of July / August.

Questions before applying? Just email and ask - we don't bite, we're mostly about dogs.
